Beloved Brother...

I have a lifetime of stories to tell of my brother. One that comes to mind was when we were about 7&8 and we had a pet duck. We also had dogs so the poor duck didn't stand a chance of a long life. I was so upset about the duck dying that in order to make me feel better he decided to give it a proper burial, he decided I was to be the mourner and him the priest. He wasn't a normal 8 year old he was drama and then some. So, he went to the house and grabbed one of my moms ie lavalavas and used it as a cape. We dug a hole and put the pet duck in a shoe box we found. He went on to perform the ceremony while I was holding onto the shoe box. After a few seconds of him waving his hands around and a few words about the short life of the duck we then buried it and before we went on to play again, he hugged me and said dont worry he is going to be ok. We are from a family of 6 and I was born 7months after him. This story reminds me of how loving and caring he was at an early age. My protector. Always making sure I was ok and that I was happy. Even when we fought we made up. Having older siblings there was of course fights and rivalry. Him and I were always a team and we always got hidings together for being too naughty, too mischievous or not listening to my older sister about chores we were supposed to do. He truly was an amazing person. There will never be another like him, he was one in a billion. Love you forever and miss you will I die.. Gia (mulita/lau) as you would put it..
